We always appreciate when Fashion Week in the city rolls around; it is a constant reminder of how inspirational flowers can truly be for designers and fashionistas alike.

The Fall 2016 collections were filled with romantic variations on shape and volume, contrasting delicate fabrics with bold colors. The delicate fabrics were reminiscent of soft ranunculus petals or beautiful snapdragon buds; while the bold colors made us think of summer sunflowers and tropical orchids.

Designers dominated the runway with longer hemlines and elongated silhouettes paired with velvet and silk fabrics.  Fall’s must-haves include sophisticated neutrals, bold hues, graphic patterns and of course, our favorite - floral influences!

Some of our favorite floral moments were Rodarte, who completed their earthy pieces with real flower accessories

While Carolina Herrera used violet and iris hues accented with floral motifs of jasmine flowers:

And, Vera Wang incorporated a plum floral print camisoles and olive floral silks:

Floral patterns weren’t just donned on the models, but J. Crew gave flowers as a parting gift to their audience and Diane von Furstenberg was seen throwing flowers out to the audience during her presentation.

Not only can floral patterns and live flowers be spotted on the runway, but also natural colors have deeply influenced this season’s collections.  It's always exciting to see how florals impact the runways each season, and just because we couldn't quite help it, we decided to match some of this season's trending color palettes to our very own Frederique's Choice Bouquets - Take a Peek!
